Round 2 – Masters Historic Festival, Brands Hatch

After the success in the first round of the championship, I was keen to build on this at Brands Hatch. It was a great atmosphere with a home crowd, supported by friends, family and my sponsors coupled with fantastic weather. The weekend was set on the famous Brands Hatch GP circuit which has seen many iconic events throughout history. Brands Hatch is one of my favourite circuits, I last raced at Brands Hatch back in 2015 where I won the iconic Brands Hatch MINI festival on the Indy circuit. As the Masters runs the GP circuit it was going to be a challenge going straight into qualifying as I had never driven the layout before. However, we managed to qualify second in class. With 44 roaring Pre-66 touring cars on the grid we faced challenges when the lights went green. I had the job of the second stint, bring the car home back in 4th place in our class and 12th overall. Now currently leading the championship we are more than excited for round 3 – The Most Historic Grand Prix on the 22nd of June at Most Autodrom.
